A subsidiary belonging to one of the largest life insurance groups in Asia-Pacific, providing a comprehensive range of products and services, including medical, travel, and general insurance with over a century of operational experience in the insurance industry. They have presence in 18 markets in Asia-Pacific – wholly-owned branches and subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, New Zealand, Macau, Brunei, Cambodia.In the ever-evolving landscape of financial services, they have consistently strived to provide their customers with cutting-edge solutions for life and health insurance, continuously adapting to meet the evolving needs of their policyholders.As technology continued to reshape the insurance industry, the Client - a true beacon of innovation and customer-centricity, recognized the imperative to stay ahead of the curve. The company was facing several pressing business pain points that required a dynamic and forward-thinking technology partner to address.
The Requirements
Application enhancement - Transforming claims and underwriting with AI
Al Underwriting is currently a function of the utmost importance in the insurance value chain. Insurers investing in Al to augment and streamline their underwriting businesses will ultimately gain a sustainable competitive advantage. Having a high awareness of this great feature, the Client has built a Rule-based Al system for preliminary appraisal of insurance records. In detail, Client expects NTQ to develop a new layout design for Log details feature in their system which provides the Underwriter (end-user) a more informative and clearer view of the insurance application.
The Solution
NTQ led and managed the AI Underwriting Project, ensuring seamless integration and delivery with other vendors and the Rule Engine team.
Developed an enhanced layout design for the Log Details in the app's interface, incorporating data from provided APIs.
Built a robust data pipeline from Local DNA to Group Storage, configuring Azure Data Factory and Data bricks for efficient data transfer.
Implemented data masking in Group Data Platform for security.
Supported User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Deployment, providing timely assistance during the Critical Application Bridge (CAB) Support phase.
