Mr. Nguyen Phi Dung, recognized by the Vietnam Records Organization as the largest collector of printed newspapers issued in Vietnam from the l?ate 19th century to the present day, currently holds over 400,000 press publications, including more than 100 newspaper titles published before 1954. With the desire to preserve and share this cultural treasure with future generations, he collaborated with NTQ to dev?elop a comprehensive plan to digitize this immense archive, enabling easier access for scholars, researchers, and history enthusiasts.

To fulfill this aspiration, NTQ will provide advanced a?rchival solutions that go far beyond simply scanning and uploading documents. The digitization system will integrate AI-powered tools capable of automatically identifying pages, restoring torn or?? damaged parts, and converting the content into searchable, accessible digital data. In the future, the system is expected to handle curved or bound pages without the need to disassemble the original materials.

“When we first started exploring solutions, we found high-end German scanning machines that could technically handle the job. However, it might take more than billions to purchase this system, while taking a long time to deliver. Therefore, we decided to make our. Therefore, we decided to set up our scanning machines and develop the software ourselves. After successfully testing with over 1,000 issues and receiving approval from Mr. Dung, we believed that there were numerous opportunities to establish more similar systems. According to our plan, we aim to complete the entire newspaper digitization project by September 2, 2026,â€?shared Mr. Bui Duc Chuong, NTQ co-founder and project lead, in an interview with Vietnamnet.”

The vision of WayMe is simple yet meaningful: To create a safer way to explore the outdoors. From a call from Rainer’s deeply worried wife during a treacherous hike in Hong Kong, he realized the need for a smart navigator that leads hikers to the right tracks, while keeping their loved ones informed at all times. Looking into a broader scope, he found out that there are millions of people engaging in hiking across? regions like Hong Kong and Taiwan, yet many still face da?ngers due to poor communication, a lack of real-time tracking, or insufficient emergency tools.

WayMe was born from this insight: to build an application that supports safe, connected, and informed outdoor journey??s. But to bring this ambitious vision to life, uHey needed more than a development team, they needed a partner cap??able of quickly translating business intent into a reliable digital platform. From the initial idea, uHey’s team came to connect with NTQ to find the perfect balance that turns the aspirations of the community into a breakthrough technology solution. 

Brings safety on the go 

Outdoor adventures, from running, hiking, to mountain climbing, often involve several risks of rugged terrain, navigation loss, and limited direct medical support during emer?gencies. Realizing these pain points, NTQ and uHey worked together to formulate a WayMe application offering a safety navigator that ensures the hikers are going in the right direction, right place, and stay connected with their loved ones through their own compact smartphone devices (IoS & Android). 

The core objective was to create a smart companion for outdoor activities, allowing users to create custom routes, track their movement progress in real time, monitor detailed performance metrics (such as speed, distance, and elevation), off-route alerts and most importantly, send emergency alerts to designated contacts when users face danger – One of the most unique & specialized functions that the application can offer compared to other competitors in the market. 

To ensure the mutual understanding of the project’s goal, NTQ approached the project with a solution-driven and proactive mindset. Our engineers took the initiative to research, experiment, and rapidly master the necessary tools to ensure timely and effective implementation. Throughout the development process, we maintained daily communication with the uHey team, provi??ding regular progress updates, resolving unclear requirements, and adapting quickly to new prioritie??s.
